In 1999, GUINARD OIL SERVICES contributed to the creation of a treatment centre for oily sludges in Singapore and a joint-venture has been founded: NATSTEEL GUINARD OIL SERVICES "NGOS".

NGOS has developed a system (unique in the world) to treat sludges/slops from the bottom of tankers before these ships get repaired. These residues contain rust, sand and other debris that are removed from the stream before it goes through the 3-phase centrifugal separation process (separation of oil, solids and water).

The excellent quality of the oil output phase enables to sell it as "bunker fuel" for the ships.
